New Beginnings!
An Introduction.
Many years ago I used to go for long walks with my parents in the Peak District, Dales, Lake District, Wales and Scotland. Unfortunately I did not appreciate at the time what I was doing and what I was seeing. It's strange how sometimes it takes a major occurrence in your life that could have ended far more badly to cause you to realise what you were missing and return to those forgotten places (I bet you thought I was going to put tracks). I hope through this blog I can inspire and help others to appreciate the joy of being in the outdoors. Contributions from people far more experienced than I am will be more than welcome.
I plan to post walks with photos and GPS data along with Gear Reviews to help people point their funds in the right direction.
Below are a few photos from..erm..cough! years ago that I took when I was in my early teens on one of our trips to Scotland. This had been our second summit of both Ben Nevis and Stob Coire Nan Lochan. Stob Coire Nan Lochan was definately the most challenging and enjoyable. We descended through The Lost Valley where I found around £5 in change on a rock. If anyone lost it, I have it. Although it was over 25 years ago.
